About the FSTM

The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character.

The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) at the University of Luxembourg contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine.
Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM
seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in.

The University plans for 7 additional training curricula at the bachelor level in the domain of healthcare professions: registered nurse (1), midwifery (1), imaging technologist (1), and nursing specialties (4). Expected launch is 2023 and 2024.

Your role

In this context of high growth of the healthcare education, the role of the project officer consists in:

  • Supporting the leadership for development and implementation of healthcare professional training curricula
  • Contributing to and following-up of implementation activities and communication with the stakeholders from the health and academic sector (national and international)
  • Taking care of the development of curricula by organizing meetings, taskforces, seminars, writing minutes and reports, preparing working documents and finalizing applications
  • Taking care of the definition and of the development of the virtual simulation equipment in the perspective of the nursing care and other allied health care education programs and analyzing cross-sectional areas with medical education to improve mutualization of equipment and courses
  • Liaising with stakeholders, drafting curricula, setting-up budgets, preparing accreditation applications in collaboration with national and international partners of the nursing care and allied health care education programs. Serving as contact person of the respective training programs
  • Networking with professors, teachers, clinicians, researchers and other stakeholders in the academic and Nursing Science field
  • Supporting development of research in Nursing Science, primary care, healthcare domains, public health, social sciences, psychology, digitalization, AI and education sciences applied to health care professions
  • Develop cooperation with LTPS (Lycée Technique pour Professions de Santé) as concerns practical training in the different teaching tracks
  • Knowing that a significant part of training takes place in Luxembourg's hospitals, establish a network between directors for nursing care in the different hospitals, and the FHL (Fédération des Hôpitaux Luxembourgeois)
  • Stay in touch with similar training programs in the Greater Region and develop collaborative exchange programs to promote in-training mobility

Your profile

  • Master's degree or equivalent,
  • 4-6 years of working experience in a nursing environment
  • Previous experience in managing projects or processes is essential and will be considered as a strong asset
  • Ability to coordinate and interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English and French; knowledge of German or Luxembourgish is a plus
