Your role
We offer an attractive position for a Research and Development Specialist to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and practical applications. Your primary focus will be on developing robust, scalable applications that bring our research to market and deliver value to our partners.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with researchers to understand existing problem and theoretical concepts, translating them into efficient, user-friendly software solutions.
You will be instrumental in creating prototypes and proof-of-concept applications that showcase the practical applications of our research. The position holder will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Developing applications that implement research outcomes, focusing on both frontend and backend technologies
- Collaborating with researchers to understand and implement solutions
- Opportunities to collaborate with researcher using cutting edge technology, e.g., large language models and other machine learning, distributed ledgers or zero-knowledge proofs
- Creating intuitive user interfaces to demonstrate research concepts and results
- Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment
- Ensuring the quality, security, and reliability of developed applications
- Contributing to technical documentation and assisting in the preparation of research publications
- Engaging with partners to understand their needs and translate research into practical solutions
Your profile
The candidate should possess at least Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience in software development
- Experience with server-side languages
- Creating intuitive user interfaces designs
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (e.g. git), testing, and continuous integration
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team
