Several types of contracts and working hours are provided for by companies established in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Among these different types, there is the full-time contract. On this page, we have gathered all the job and recruitment offers offering a full-time contract.

If you are a cross-border worker, you should know that a full-time contract in Luxembourg corresponds to 8 hours of work per day or 40 hours of work per week. Compared to its bordering countries such as France (35h/week), Belgium (38h/week) or Germany (between 38h and 40h/week) where the working time is generally a little lower.

Most recruiters are looking for a full-time employee to work in their companies. If you are looking for a full-time position in Luxembourg, it is probably because it is usually considered as a permanent contract (CDI) or a fixed-term contract (CDD). This gives you a certain financial security, compared to a part-time contract which may be more suitable for a student job or a work-study program, for example.
If you have a full-time job, you benefit from certain rights: the right to rest and vacations. Regarding rest days, your employer is obliged to give you 1 rest day for every 7 working days and at least 11 consecutive hours every 24 hours. Once you have obtained a full-time position in your field of activity, you will be entitled to at least 26 days off per year.

The full-time contract is the most common type of working time in Luxembourg. On Moovijob, you will find many job offers for all sectors of activity (health, distribution, real estate, marketing, wellness, etc.). So, do not hesitate to submit your application to the advertisements that seem relevant to you, according to your professional project, in order to get an interview with your future employer!

Let’s meet on May 31 🤩
