Your role

The Project Officer will support the Principal Investigator(s) in the implementation of SnT4Dev project funded by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MFEA) and implemented in cooperation with LuxDev. SnT4Dev intends to develop cooperation with universities in West Africa to contribute to skills development and capacity building necessary for furthering local economic development in information and communications technology (ICT) and research, more specifically in the cybersecurity domain. The Project Officer will ensure efficient project administration and management, in compliance with the funder's requirements.

  • Support the Principal Investigator(s) in the implementation and day to day management of the project
  • Enable efficient organization and proper communication before, during and after project execution with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Organize and set-up project meetings with project consortium and internal teams
  • Follow up and support efficient student and researcher recruitment on the project, in cooperation with HR team
  • In cooperation with relevant internal teams, support and monitor timely and efficient implementation of necessary contractual frameworks for project activities
  • Enable administrative management and financial assistance for the project in accordance with internal rules and funders' requirements
  • Monitor the project overall progress and deliverables
  • Collect inputs and consolidate project technical and periodic reports
  • Document relevant project information
  • Ensure quality assurance and compliance of projects and grants with requirements from internal and/or external stakeholders.
  • Support organizing workshops, trainings and project events involving internal and external project stakeholders

Your profile

  • Master degree or equivalent experience grant and project management in academic environment
  • Proven experience in grant management
  • Project management skills and knowledge of project management principles and best practices; certification in PMP, PM², Prince2 would be an asset
  • Real team player able to follow internal and external workflows with precise deadlines, used to evolve in a high-level expectations environment
  • Service oriented and problem-solving attitude
  • High level of discretion to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Fluent in French, professional English (oral and written), knowledge of German and/or Luxembourgish would be appreciated.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills suitable for a multicultural environment
