Our job opportunity


Today, we are currently recruiting a Wildlife Coordinator.


Your responsibilities


*Your daily tasks

  • Supervising, training and developing the Wildlife team
  • Creating, implementing and updating the Wildlife risk management programme
  • Coordinating and monitoring the various actions linked to the Wildlife programme
  • Ensuring awareness of Wildlife risks outside the airport perimeter, monitoring and inspecting them regularly
  • Creating, evaluating and updating procedures, manuals and instructions relating to Wildlife
  • Developing the Wildlife culture within the Operations department and, more broadly, among all the airport's internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing advice as a Wildlife expert
  • As a Wildlife expert, acting as the contact person for all bodies and organisations involved in Wildlife risk management.

*Your other missions

  • Carrying out regular risk assessments of the impact of Wildlife
  • Organising effective targeted actions to mitigate these risks (in the short and long term) 
  • Organising Wildlife hazard management training for all operational units associated with Luxembourg Airport 
  • Providing Wildlife-related training
  • Ensuring continuous evaluation of Wildlife management tools and best practices
  • Participating in the integration of new employees 
  • Participating in waste sorting and energy saving through responsible behavior

The required profile

 

Studies / training

Higher education diploma (BAC) or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 5 years' experience in the airport sector
  • Proven experience in the Wildlife sector

Skills and knowledge required


*IT Tools

Mandatory:

Microsoft Office suite


*Languages

Mandatory:

  • French: fluent spoken and written (C1 minimum)
  • English: fluent spoken and written (B2 minimum)

Nice-to-have:

  • Luxembourgish / German: the knowledge of those languages would be an asset.

*Know-how and interpersonal skills specific to the job

In-depth knowledge of applicable aerodrome requirements, international and national standards and recommendations, ICAO, EASA and their interpretation 


*Other

  • Valid permanent B driving licence
  • Hunting licence is an asset
