The Société de l'Aéroport de Luxembourg (lux-Airport) is the aerodrome operator responsible for the operation of the airport infrastructure. Our platform provides, among other things, direct flight services to more than 100 destinations via 16 airlines.
We have more than 350 employees, with different backgrounds and 19 nationalities.

In order to continue to meet our commitments and to develop other projects, we are currently recruiting : a GIS Expert (Geographic Information Systems).
The aim of the position is to join our "Project" team, in order to participate in the development of the Airport's projects.

Your responsibilities
Your daily tasks
- Supervising and managing the existing GIS team
- Supporting and sustaining the ongoing development, configuration and maintenance of the GIS database and developing the various related applications for the different departments
- Defining needs and ensuring the correct collection of plans and other information in order to feed the database for Luxembourg Airport, while ensuring the accuracy of the information transmitted
- Coordinating and developing working relationships with the players involved in the system (ESRI supplier, surveyors, design offices, users, etc.)
- Carrying out certain topographical surveys in the field as required.
- Supervising and producing certain infrastructure plans in AUTOCAD 2D on the basis of technical data and topographical surveys.
- Ensuring that existing plans are updated and corrected following adaptations and work in progress
- Being responsible for the accuracy of "as-built" documents during on-site execution inspections
- Drawing up design standards for the plans
Your other missions
- Optimising the development and monitoring of the technical department's document database
- Reporting on a daily basis to the Project Technical Department managers
- Participating in the integration of new employees

The required profile
Studies / training :
Degree (Bachelor or Master) in Geographic Information, Geography, Geomatics or equivalent experience
Experience :
- Minimum 8 years' experience in geographic information systems - ESRI system preferred.
- Proven experience in CAD drawing architecture and buildings
Skills and knowledge required:

- - Proficiency in Autocad and Autodesk architectural desktop software,
- ESRI software
- Microsoft Office suite
Nice to Have:
Project management tools
Languages :
Mandatory:
- English: fluent spoken and written;
- French: fluent spoken and written;
Nice to Have:
German: fluent spoken and written would be considered as an asset;
Specific knowledge linked to the job:
- Knowledge of topography desirable
- Knowledge of specific software such as AVIPLAN (aircraft movement visualisation and simulation) for vehicle radius of gyration simulation or vehicle radius of gyration simulation software.
- Proficiency in standard office tools (Pack Office).
- Ability to work as part of a team and to keep up the pace of work to meet requirements and time constraints.
- Able to solve problems, efficient, detail-oriented, rigorous, able to listen and observe.
- Driving licence B.
