The Société de l'Aéroport de Luxembourg (lux-Airport) is the aerodrome operator responsible for the operation of the airport infrastructure. Our platform provides, among other things, direct flight services to more than 100 destinations via 16 airlines.
We have more than 350 employees, with different backgrounds and 19 nationalities.
Together we work daily to ensure the efficient operation of the airport and to provide a quality service to our passengers.
Thanks to everyone's commitment, we live up to our motto of being the best-in-class airport. Our reputation is also reflected in a few key figures: by the end of 2022, for example, we reached 4.05 million passengers and 975,000 tonnes of cargo.
In order to continue to meet our commitments and to develop other projects, we are currently recruiting : an IT Engineer - Application & Linux.
The purpose of this recruitment is to reinforce the team in place, in order to work on business systems and applications.

Your responsibilities
Your daily tasks
- Configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting business systems and applications
- Managing projects and proposing application solutions
- Implementing business applications right through to commissioning
- Providing level 2 and/or 3 support for all application systems
- Assisting the support team in resolving application-related incidents
- Analysing and developing software in collaboration with the various players in the process (drafting specifications with the requester(s), development, integration, etc.)
- Administering databases such as MariaDB, PostGreSQL, MySQL, ....
- Guaranteeing data availability by maintaining the performance of application or database systems
- Supporting the network and security & system engineer teams
Your other missions
- Training the support team in business applications
- Writing technical procedures and user guides
- Participating in the integration of new employees.

The required profile
Studies / training :
Postgraduate degree (Engineer or Master) in IT or equivalent experience in a similar role.
Experience :
5 years' experience in a similar role
Skills and knowledge required:

- French: fluent spoken and written
- English: fluent spoken and written
Specific knowledge linked to the job:
- B driving licence
- Knowledge of Linux server administration (Red Hat/Debian distribution)
- Knowledge of GlusterFS
- Knowledge of Ansible and/or Puppet, Kubernetes, Docker,....
- Knowledge of any other system based on Microsoft technology would be considered as a plus
