It is in the prestigious and atypical setting, in the heart of the Neumünster Abbey in Luxembourg, that the big Job & Networking evening took place on Tuesday, May 31st. A look back at this event that breaks down the barriers of recruitment...
After the huge success of the Moovijob Day Luxembourg fair last March, it's now the turn of the Moovijob Night Luxembourg to be talked about. Bringing together companies and professionals from the IT and Finance sectors, this original afterwork combining networking, cocktails, burgers, foosball and photobooth allowed hundreds of people to meet.
To make sure everyone had a pleasant evening, the Moovijob Sourcing team carefully pre-selected qualified profiles that matched the needs of the 37 companies present. In total, more than 1,380 people registered and 679 were selected.
And because the participants talk about it better than we can...
Guillaume, who knows the Moovijob events very well, was particularly impressed by this evening. As a database specialist looking for a new job in the IT sector, he says "It's a great organization! I have the impression that each year, the events are getting better and better."
For other people like Matthieu, who is looking for a job in IT Infrastructure, this evening was a big first. "I was very nervous when I arrived... seeing the number of people looking for a new professional opportunity *laughs*. But the people are very nice. This kind of evening really facilitates exchanges, it's a change from contact by email!"
Gaëlle works in the banking sector and more specifically in compliance and risk management. Looking for a new opportunity in investment funds, she tells us "This is a great experience. I was very happy to network with lots of companies in Luxembourg coming from Finance. It is a great place, there is a good atmosphere so I would highly recommend it! I hope to attend more events like this."
The evening can also hold some nice surprises... This is the case for Marie "It was a very well organized evening with a number of companies that had caught my attention and that I was finally able to meet face to face. The employers were very nice, took the time to talk and even went beyond the positions offered! For example, one recruiter found my profile very interesting and is keeping my CV for a potential new position. It gives you a lot of motivation and energy!"
On the recruiters' and sponsors' side
If there is one word that stands out from this 12th edition and that puts everyone in agreement, participants and recruiters, it is the great organisation: "The first thing that comes to my mind is that this evening is extremely well organised. When a participant comes to us, he presents us his QR code and we just have to scan it to access to his CV and contact details. People come from all different horizons and they are exactly what we were looking for", says Fabian De Bilderling, Director Development at Wikitree Group.
The setting and the friendly atmosphere were also important: "The setting is fantastic, especially with the beautiful view of the sky and the sunset when you are inside the Agora, it gives a whole new dimension! You can see that Luxembourg is a very attractive country, people come from far away. So we try to offer them something in line with their wishes". - Didier Dechanet, Senior Delivery Manager - Netcompany Intrasoft.
Idris Musas-a-Musas, Talent Acquisition Specialist at Netcompany Intrasoft, highlights the relevance and quality of the profiles: "The participants are very interesting and correspond to what we are looking for, these evenings really help us to save time and be more efficient."
Last but not least, what pleases everyone are the "real" exchanges, the human contact, as underlined by the recruiter of the company SES Satellites "It was a great event and it's nice to be back in person! Definitely worth it!"

The two events not to be missed in the second semester
For the next events, we are looking forward to seeing you on Friday 30 September 2022 for the great return of the Unicareers fair, dedicated to students and young graduates, co-organised with the University of Luxembourg.
Last but not least, the last event of the year, the Luxembourg's largest Job, Training and Career fair, will be back in a virtual format on 18 November. A perfect opportunity to meet and exchange across borders.
