We are looking for a Senior Accountant (M/F) on a permanent contract.
Your responsibilities:
- You will take responsibility for a portfolio of companies, overlooking A to Z transactions including maintenance of accurate accounting records, cashbook entries, expenses, and payroll record keeping and posting of all necessary month/year-end transactions.
- Analysis of legal documentation (sales or purchase agreements, loan agreements, etc.).
- You will be responsible for preparing annual accounts according to Lux GAAP, Tax returns, periodic and annual VAT returns and regulatory returns (BCL reports).
- Handling inquiries from auditors, clients, and tax authorities, as well as addressing internal accounting-related issues, will be part of your responsibilities.
- You will have the opportunity to work with various clients.
- Reporting on client needs and demands will be essential.
- Assisting with other accounting projects to improve the efficiency of the accounting processes will be part of your job including the guidance to the junior Accountant(s).
- You will stay informed of accounting, regulatory, tax and legal changes which impact the job role and advise management on needed actions.
Your qualifications:
- Diploma in Accounting, Audit, or Finance
- 5 years of professional experience in a fiduciary
- Familiarity with Luxembourg GAAP
- Excellent written and verbal French communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Proactive and initiative-driven
- High level of autonomy
- Organized and methodical approach
- Effective task prioritization and workload management
