The Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) at the University of Luxembourg brings together expertise from the humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, social and educational sciences.

The faculty's research and teaching focuses on social, economic, political and educational issues with the common goal of contributing to an inclusive, open and resourceful society.

Your role

The candidate will join the administrative team of LUCET under the supervision of the Faculty finance Team leader. In support of the researchers, the postholder coordinates the administrative, financial and reporting of projects externally funded as national and international funding agencies and cooperation partners. This includes activities such as:

  • Support for research administration activities on a daily basis
  • Complete finance activities by performing standard accounting, controlling tasks and reporting tasks
  • Complete processes for purchase orders, follow-up and verifying invoices, travel expenses, service contract follow-up, external expert, etc…
  • Monitoring budgets, tracking, and forecasting expenses
  • Point of contact for finance and grant related matters for LUCET
  • Liaise with the Faculty finance team
  • Understanding funding body specific reporting requirements and drafting financial reports within standard procedures
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the development of financial processes and budget follow-up

Your profile

  • Higher vocational certificate or diploma or equivalent by experience specialized in business administration or similar
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Advanced skills in handling financial and administrative reports
  • Team work experience at the interface with other administrative & financial team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in both French and English. German language skills would be considered an advantage
