Your role

  • Conducting independent research on advanced communication systems in optical wireless communications
  • Developing system-level models, simulations, and performance analysis tools
  • Investigating channel impairments, propagation effects, and mitigation techniques
  • Designing and evaluating transmission schemes, signal processing algorithms, and communication architectures
  • Contributing to scientific publications in high-impact journals and conferences
  • Participating in the preparation of research proposals and project reports
  • Supervising MSc students and contributing to PhD co-supervision
  • Collaborating with academic and industrial partners
  • Supporting experimental activities when applicable
  • Participating in dissemination activities, workshops, and technical meetings

Your profile

  • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
  • Strong background in communication systems, signal processing, and applied mathematics
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: free-space optics, optical satellite communications, underwater optical communications, Li-Fi, Optical Camera Communications, Vehicular Communications
  • Experience in system modeling and simulation of communication systems
  • Strong programming skills in MATLAB are required; experience with Python, C/C++, or GPU-based computing is an advantage
  • Proven publication record in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
  • Ability to work independently and manage research tasks
