The Postdoctoral researcher will be a member of the Department of Computer Science (DCS) within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine at the University of Luxembourg. Within DCS, the candidate will be part of prof. Leprévost's group at the Laboratory of Algorithmics, Cryptology and Security.
Your role
The successful candidate will carry out research activities, draft research projects and attract external research funding, teach up to 90 hours a year within the Computer Science Bachelor and Master programs of the faculty, handle and coordinate activities in the area of computer science, and contribute to the organization of conferences.
The overarching scientific project is AI in security and security of AI systems. This potentially encompasses the design and implementation of techniques to deceive content classifiers, e.g. text/code, audio, images, videos, detect AI created content, or enforce digital forensics. Suggestions for other research topics in deep learning, evolutionary algorithms and their applications in security can also be discussed and are welcome.
Your profile
- The candidate should possess a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Applied Mathematics
- Proven interest in deep learning and/or evolutionary algorithms
- Proven implementation experience with "large", possibly distributed mathematical computations
- Programming skills, e.g. mastery of C / C++ and/or Python and/or Rust, and experience with UNIX/LINUX environments. Programming of GPU with Cuda is a plus
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory. Knowledge of French or German is desirable, but not a must as language courses are offered at the university
