Your role
The Project Officer will strengthen the team of grant managers at FSTM. Reporting to the team leader, the PO will actively support project management for FSTM projects, with a strong focus on EU-funded projects. The successful candidate will primarily be involved in the post-award phase of grant management, contributing to project execution and coordination. The candidate will work closely with the Grant Management team, grant project teams, and faculty financial controllers to ensure smooth and efficient project implementation.
Main respnsabilities:
- Provide project management support during the execution phase of research projects, including coordination of administrative (including financial management) needs in collaboration with research teams
- Ensure efficient and proactive follow-up of ongoing projects, contributing to high-quality project management standards
- Support the University of Luxembourg team in project reporting and follow-up, including:
- Monitoring project expenses and supporting project partners throughout the reporting process
- Completing reporting templates and forms required by funding bodies
- Drafting project deliverables and coordinating their final submission to the lead partner and/or funder
- Prepare documents/communication/emails required to exchange with partners/project members
Your profile
- A master's or equivalent in one of the scientific disciplines of the University
- A proven track record in project management in EU projects with minimum 4 years of experience in leading projects will be considered a strong asset
- Minimum 4 years of proven experience in research project management, especially for EU projects
- IT savviness will be considered an asset, to support automation of financial and reporting processes
- Ability to coordinate and support teams, build trust and develop know-how
- Team-oriented and comfortable with internationality & multidisciplinary
- Excellent command of English and fluency in French
- Open-minded, proactive, able to multitask and flexible
- Welcoming and service-oriented attitude
- Curious and able to adapt to the ever-changing world of research management
