Technical Project Engineer / Technical System Manager (m/f/d)


As a Technical Project Engineer, you will integrate into our “Iron Production Plant & Layout” department in Luxembourg, which is part of the Center of Competence Iron / Metallurgy.

You will be involved in most of our company's industrial projects, interacting with customers and sub-contractors all over the world. You will work in a project-orientated engineering team together with plant engineers and designers from various engineering disciplines and entities.

In the role of a Technical System Manager, you will coordinate the engineering tasks for a defined plant section or sub-unit. However, it also allows you to work as a creative and open-minded engineer and give you the possibility to drive our innovative products forward.

As a globally active plant engineering company for large size projects and technology provider in the ironmaking industry, we offer the possibility to work actively on CO2 reduction, green iron making and other innovative plant developments like E-Fuels or H2 production.


Your main tasks:

  • Development of technical specifications for customer and/or sub-suppliers
  • Support in the preparation of technical offers
  • Development of bills of quantities
  • Elaboration of lists of deliverables and their follow-up. (internal & external)
  • Supervision, coordination and control of sub-contractors carrying out engineering work for the projects
  • Technical project follow-up of the internal project engineering team
  • Follow-up / Pursuing of R&D projects
  • Participation in design review meetings.

What do we expect?

  • Degree in mechanical or civil engineering or in other comparable technical fields
  • Strong command in AutoCAD Mechanical and knowledge in 3D design software. (e.g. CREO or AVEVA)
  • Skills in 3D design review software (i.e. NavisWorks) is beneficial
  • Knowledge in applicable European Standards for construction are considered as an advantage
  • International mindset and willingness to travel worldwide
  • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills combined with a structured way of working
  • Ability to work in/together with engineering teams of different fields and disciplines, as well as with sub-contractors
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage numerous assignment simultaneously
  • Fluent in English; German and/or French language skills is considered as an advantage.
