Your role

Successful candidates will join the Systems and Network Security Group led by Prof. Vincent Lenders. They will contribute to cutting-edge research in cybersecurity for space systems and perform the following tasks:

  • Research: Lead scientific research projects that aim at improving the security of satellite communication systems against cyber threats on problems related to software-based and network attacks.
  • Technology transfer: Work with industrial and governmental partners to transfer the group's research results into functional prototypes and technology demonstrators for satellite communication systems
  • Education: Contribute in the teaching activities of the University's Cybersecurity Master program and supervise the scientific research of PhD/Master students
  • Dissemination: Present your research results at scientific conferences, journals and technology events

Your profile

  • A PhD degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in security research and/or security engineering
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary research environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of French, German, or Luxembourgish will be appreciated but is not a requirement to apply
