YOUR ROLE
You will be in charge of the migration from Microsoft Synapse to Microsoft Fabric. You have a deep knowledge in cloud-based data solution, specifically within the Microsoft ecosystem . Your role involves understanding both Microsoft Synapse and Microsoft Fabric architectures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring a seamless transition of data workloads.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy from Microsoft Synapse Analytics to Microsoft Fabric.
- Analyze existing Synapse pipelines, data models, and workloads to identify challenges and dependencies.
- Migrate data models, SQL pools, data lakes, and pipelines from Synapse to Fabric with minimal disruption to the business.
- Ensure that ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows are properly re-engineered or migrated to Fabric.
- Work with data scientists, analysts, and business intelligence teams to ensure smooth transition of data workloads.
- Document migration processes, configurations, and architectures for future reference and troubleshooting.
YOUR PROFILE
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric.
- Deep knowledge of SQL and experience working with Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse SQL Pools, and Azure Data Factory.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security policies, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Good capacity to communicate with technical and no-technical persons.
- Fluent in French, good command in English is required.
- 5+ years university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field + at least 5 years of professional experience.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or similar certification.
