The Société de l'Aéroport de Luxembourg (lux-Airport) is the aerodrome operator responsible for the operation of the airport infrastructure. Our platform provides, among other things, direct flight services to more than 100 destinations via 16 airlines.

To continue to meet our commitments and develop other projects, we are currently recruiting: a Senior Airside Project Manager - Operations Department.


The aim of this recruitment is to strengthen the existing team. You will report to the Head Of Airside Operations.

Your responsibilities


Your daily tasks


Team management

  • Being responsible for a team of operational experts: managing, coordinating and developing the skills and knowledge of team members (airside project coordinator, OPS regulatory coordinator, airside conduct coordinator) throughout their mission
  • In case of absence, representing the Head of Airside Operations for urgent airside operational/technical issues

Projects

  • Analysing the complexity of major projects and ongoing requests ; defining priorities, objectives ; organising work with the team in place
  • Anticipating operational impacts related to Airside infrastructure capacity
  • Maintaining the operational objectives identified by the Director of Operations and the Head of Airside Operations, while ensuring that the security and regulatory compliance aspects are properly coordinated
  • Providing support to other departments as required and representing the OPS department on external issues and projects relating to Airside Operations
  • Monitoring and ensuring proper interaction with internal (technical, safety, operations, etc.) and external (handlers, ANSP, PCH, etc.) contacts on complex projects/works
  • Checking and validating safety flashes in conjunction with Airside OPS

Airside works

  • Participating in carrying out complex safety assessments linked to the work, as well as defining, validating and implementing corrective and preventive measures in connection with these safety assessments
  • Defining the operational requirements for all Airside developments and managing interactions on complex works (Manoeuvring Area and Apron)
  • Being responsible for the correct application of the Airside Work Management and Air Navigation Obstacle Management processes
  • Preparing and leading monthly work coordination meetings (AWOC) with the involvement of the Airside Project Coordinator

Compliance

  • Acting as a point of reference in various areas of airside expertise, compliance and driving rules and interacting as such with other departments
  • Being the EASA regulation expert to interpret and implement the application of the articles related to the service and being the process owner of part of this legislation
  • Being the OPS representative at LRST, AST and DAIM meetings, involving the APC, ORC and ADC as necessary
  • Being responsible for following up on requests for changes to certification for which the department is responsible
  • Ensuring that all necessary operational and technical documentation is kept up to date
  • Participating in the integration of new employees

The required profile


Studies / training :

Higher education diploma (Bac + 5) years in aeronautics (e.g. air transport management, safety management, aeronautical operations, etc.) or equivalent experience


Experience :

5 years' experience in the airport sector


Skills and knowledge required:

  • French: fluent spoken and written
  • English: fluent spoken and written

Specific knowledge linked to the job:

  • Organizational skills and good management of priorities
  • Proactivity, common sense and solution orientation
  • Good command of IT tools (Pack Office, SAP)
  • Knowledge of relevant international and national standards and recommendations such as EASA, ICAO and their interpretation
  • Organized, proactive, autonomous, good interpersonal skills
  • Valid driving licence (B)
