The scope of the role is to take part in all monitoring and control activities of the team relating to the oversight missions of the depositary. Additionally, the role involves leading and managing projects focused on the implementation of new technologies, driving process improvements, and addressing regulatory changes within the depositary function.
Your role
- Carry out the monitoring and control measures set out in the Depositary Oversight control plan in the following areas of oversight:

- Asset valuation and UCI's NAV calculation
- Subscriptions/redemptions of UCI units/shares
- Compliance of the UCI's instructions/investment decisions
- Distribution of the UCI's income
- Timely settlement of the UCI's transactions
- Manage regulatory escalation processes
- Be involved in the regulatory due diligence required for some UCI's service providers (central administration, external valuer, AIFM/management companies).
- Draft periodic review reports on depositary control results for the UCI management bodies, the Bank's management, or the supervisory authorities.
- Contribute to the risk/feasibility/compliance analysis for new UCI depositary mandates or significant changes in existing mandates.
- Perform and update depositary risk assessment/scoring for each UCI/sub-fund and implement appropriate oversight procedures.
- Assist with the regulatory watch of the role, responsibilities, and best practices of UCI depositaries to ensure compliance with the regulatory framework.
- Leverage AI tools and data analytics to optimize depositary monitoring and control framework, identifying trends, anomalies, and improve processes.
- Lead projects related to new technologies, process improvements, and regulatory changes within the depositary function.
Your profile
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Law or Management with 7 years’ relevant experience (e.g., Fund Accountant, UCI’s Auditor, Fund Compliance Officer).
Technical skills:
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment applicable to the investment activity of UCIs (AIFMD, UCITS) and a sound knowledge of the requirements relating to the depositary function.
- Good knowledge of the operation of UCIs (calculation of NAVs, processing of redemptions/subscriptions of units, types of UCIs, parties involved in a UCI).
- Very good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Advanced knowledge of data management tools and AI technologies, with experience in applying these in financial services operations.
- Proficiency in data visualization (e.g.,Tableau).
- Knowledge of Avaloq/MultiFonds/eFront.
Soft skills:
- Strong analytical skills with a keen interest in leveraging data and AI for regulatory and operational improvements.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Rigorous and with analytical skills and a keen interest in regulatory matters.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with peers and external stakeholders, including clients and supervisory authorities.
- Ability to cope with stress and to work independently.
Language skills:
- Fluent in French and English.
