Senior Fund Accountant - Private Equity

About the role:
1. Operational activities
· Prepare annual IFRS financial statements, cash flows and associated notes for funds.
· Conduct periodic investor reporting including net asset value (NAV) calculation.
· Review the fund’s accounting prepared by junior team members.
· Review statutory annual accounts of Luxembourg companies/funds in accordance with Luxembourg GAAP.
· Calculate management fees/equalisation charges, performance fees and loan interest.
· Coordinate year-end audits.
· Review Luxembourg statutory reporting.
· Review bank payments in various banking platforms and ensure necessary supporting documents (including KYC documents) are obtained and attached for an efficient review process.
· Review drawdowns and distributions calculation and notices.
· Review Limited Partners registers.
· Calculate carried interest.
· Assist in the billing and debt collection process of assigned clients
· team members on more complex transactions.
2. Client Relationship Management
· Cultivate strong client relationships through proactive communication.
· Act as the primary liaison for clients and third-party service providers.
3. Team Leadership
· Provide guidance and coaching to team members, escalating issues as necessary.
· Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.
· Review all work prior to sending to clients.
· Support junior team members in handling complex transactions.
· Participate in the recruitment process for new team members.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
· A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
· 3 - 5 years of experience in fund accounting.
· Proficiency in Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS, with familiarity in US GAAP.
· Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
· Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or German is beneficial.
· Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
