Job Content:


The capacity manager is responsible for ensuring that you have adequate IT capacity to meet service levels, communicating with IT teams about balancing capacity and demand, and optimizing capacity. This person is responsible and accountable for the overall practice, sub-practices, and results. 


Responsibilities:


  • Handle performance and capacity management service delivery for multiple Units 
  • Focus on continuous improvement opportunities across all dimensions of Capacity and Performance Management, including championing project opportunities and transformational initiatives 
  • Familiar with ITIL Process definitions and implementation 
  • Leads design working sessions with senior stakeholders, directs and supports data analysis and presents design approach, options and decisions to key stakeholders and senior leaders informed by common design principles and balanced by change management considerations. 
  • Works in a strategic consultative capacity providing coaching, advice and counsel to business stakeholders/partners balancing business need/solutions with influencing an integrated approach to program implementation. 
  • Identifying the allocation gaps/bottlenecks and improve the process for capacity allocation 
  • Provide detailed system reporting to Leadership Team and technical groups to highlight availability and reliability against agreed targets 
  • Establish an ongoing capacity plan, and coordinate the execution of this plan within budget guidelines, and according to KPI metrics 
  • Gather and analyse data on a timely basis 
  • Analyse forecasted workload with consideration to historical trends and initiatives known to impact workload and/or staffing

Skills:


  • Produce a capacity design and plan to discuss the ability of the IT infrastructure
  • Meet the performance and capacity requirements of the business 
  • Strong Service Management knowledge 
  • Must have strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop new solutions 
  • Should have a high-level knowledge on IT related technologies such as Servers and systems, backup and storage, Networks 
  • Strong ITSM Process depth and breadth for Capacity management function 
  • Responsible for the monitoring of capacity issues, developing effective capacity plans and following up on capacity remediation actions
