Mission
The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) is a public institution, responsible for the supervision of the entire Luxembourg financial centre, with the exception of the insurance sector.
As part of its prudential supervision missions, the department “Authorisation and Supervision of Alternative Investment Funds” (OPC-FIA), part of the UCI business line, wishes to reinforce its teams and to recruit several new members:
Role & responsibilities
- Analysis of applications for authorisation of new Part II UCIs, SIFs and SICARs
- Review of applications for authorisation of new compartments of Part II UCIs, SIFs and SICARs, as well as requests for amendments to existing compartments
- Authorisation and ongoing supervision of ELTIFs (European Long-Term Investment Funds)
- Registration of Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMs)
- Preparation of opinions and memoranda for submission to Senior Management for decision-making
- Drafting and issuing correspondence in the context of supervision of Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs)
- Participation in meetings and interviews with representatives of AIFs
- Performance of any other duties assigned by management in connection with the responsibilities of the UCI/AIF Department
Your profile
- University degree in economics, finance, management/administration or law (Bac +4 or Bac +5)
- Good written and spoken command of French and English. Fluency in Luxembourgish and German is considered an asset
- Professional experience in the field of investment funds and/or AML/CFT would be considered an asset
- Good writing, analysis and synthesis skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
The successful candidate (m/f) will be hired as public employee (“employé de l’Etat”) under a permanent contract. If the candidate meets the required conditions, s/he will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant (“fonctionnaire de l’Etat”).
Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the candidate must submit an extract from the criminal record (bulletin n°3), dated less than 2 months, in order to prove their conduct and integrity.
