Technology & Operations design and integrate software applications ranging from portfolio management systems, trading platforms to banking and corporate solutions. The division is responsible for some of the Group’s key innovations while sustaining business operations and developing custodian and funds administration services.

 

You will join the Mainstream Client Valuation – LUX team.


 

Your role

 

Working in the Valuation team, you will carry out checks on all types of investments in funds handled by FundPartner Solutions (FPS). You will help to establish and verify the application of valuation procedures, in particular for funds of hedge funds, as well as processing valuation exceptions for all asset classes, including exotic derivatives and structured products.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Daily and Periodical Controls: Conducting regular controls on mainstream financial assets.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Working with other departments involved in the asset valuation process to resolve valuation issues in NAV calculation.
  • NAV Validation: Being able to validate NAVs from financial information providers and fund administrators, checking for variations, stale prices, or pricing suspects, and updating prices.
  • Level 2 Assets Control: Applying valuation controls to level 2 assets, such as derivatives, structured products, and hedge funds.
  • Level 3 Assets Monitoring: Ensuring ongoing monitoring and analysis of level 3 assets.
  • Securities Monitoring: Identifying, analyzing, and monitoring securities with stale prices or valuation issues.
  • Escalation Procedures: Implementing escalation procedures and developing valuation suggestions for fund decision-making entities (fund government bodies).
  • Audit and Client Requests: Responding to audit requests and client inquiries, providing detailed financial information or valuation methodologies.
  • Valuation Activities Reporting: Measuring and reporting on valuation activities, ensuring excellent client service.
  • Risk Reporting Management: Managing risk reporting and conducting risk analysis through audited financial statements.
  • Procedure and Policy Development: Developing and maintaining evaluation procedures and policies.

 

Your profile

 

Educational background and employment experience:

 

  • University degree in Finance or Economics.
  • Several years’ experience working in valuation or pricing.
  • Experience with corporate actions would be a plus.

 

Specific knowledge:

 

  • Excellent knowledge of financial products and their valuation
  • Experience in pricing, funds administration or funds depositary
  • Broad knowledge of funds regulation, vision of fund administration
  • Outstanding analysis and redaction skills
  • Knowledge of data vendors such as Bloomberg, Markit, ICE, Reuters
  • Proficient use of data and communication tools (e.g. MS Office suite, Business Object, Tableau,…)

 

Language knowledge:

 

  • Professional level of English and French
