We are looking for a Production Engineer who can drive projects and actions which develop processes to achieve the development and performance of our Luxembourg sites.

The ideal candidate, who will report to the Head of Production, will work cross-functionally, collaborating with various stakeholders: she/he will also provide training and support to the maintenance and production teams, and will coordinate the troubleshooting and repair of all plant mechanical, electrical, controls and automation systems.

The role:

·      Ensuring compliance with the company regulatory and safety framework (people and properties on sites)

·      Collect and evaluate data from the production process in order to monitor current performance against established practices and make recommendations on how to improve efficiencies for the future

·      Lead and conduct kaizen improvement activities focused on safety, quality, and cost initiatives

·      Prepare and review all data sheets, diagrams, and flow charts needed for the correct and efficient operation of the unit

·      Development of future engineering solutions to lowest possible cost and with flexibility for product and volume changes

·      Handle and coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment and information

·      Establish and maintain accurate production standards using predetermined time tools

·      Participate in and run meetings with customers and suppliers

·      Supports environmental initiatives

·      Maintains a high standard of work ethic and workmanship for all employees in the Production Organization

Must haves:

·      Master’s degree in engineering

·      1-5 years, or more, of hands-on mechanical and/or electrical experience in a production environment, or in a plant industrial maintenance role, preferable in Steel, Mining and Oil & Gas industry

·      Engineering experience in steel mill, heavy manufacturing, process, production, or equivalent facility.

·      Team management experience

·      Strong understanding of safety procedures: promoting and supporting actions towards Safety, Health and environment protection

·      Languages: French (minimum) & English
