Lead Accountant | CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions (IA&R)
Ready for your next step? We have an exciting job opening available in our Luxembourg team for a Lead Accountant! You will mainly be responsible for the day-to-day accounting support functions for Luxembourg SPVs. You will also be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and any other client reporting packages.
Your responsibilities / main tasks will include:
- Answering questions regarding various accounting issues and reports, including profit and loss reports.
- Researching open accounting issues and liaise with the relevant parties to solve them
- Preparing balance sheets, profit and loss accounts and any other required accounting statements or financial reports.
- Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
- Preparing key Balance Sheet reconciliations and reviewing those done by others.
- Maintaining, recording, and reconciling billings and accounts receivables and any other bookings based on the relevant supporting documentation.
- Examining financial statements and documents for conformance with accounting requirements and principles.
- Creating month-end accounting entries. Reconciling discrepancies; posting to GL.
What do are we looking for?
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- You have more or less 5 years of relevant accounting experience in Luxembourg SPV accounting.
- Experience in IFRS.
- Knowledge and experience on consolidation.
- Expert knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
