This week, we interviewed Hélène Lieffrig, recruitment Officer at Serco, an IT company specialised in public administration services.
Moovijob: Hi Hélène, could you please introduce yourself?
I am Hélène Lieffrig, I have been working for SERCO as a Recruitment Officer since April 2013. My missions mostly involves finding new talented profile for our clients. I am also in charge of internal recruitment at SERCO.
In order to complete this missions, I use classic channels such as job boards and social media. Recently, we have been working more actively on job fairs and events such as Moovijob Night. This enables us to enlarge quickly our network and to raise people awareness about SERCO.
I am also responsible of informing the actual staff of all the new opportunities and meeting them regularly to make them evolve in their career. Besides, I draft and publish an internal newsletter for Belgium and Luxembourg to spread important messages regularly.
Moovijob: What are the activities of SERCO?
SERCO offers various services internationally with a key thread in the public sector.
For Belgium and Luxembourg, European institutions are the major customers of our IT services. Our consultants are mainly specialised in infrastructure. Then, they will be seconded to work at our client’s offices on a daily basis.
Moovijob: What kind of talents do you recruit? What are the new challenges you are facing in today’s recruitment?
In Luxembourg, we are looking for talented people with a first experience in the world of IT infrastructure, or in helpdesk, or as a System administrator. Next, we are also seeking for profiles specialised in IT Security and IMAC Engineers.
The key issue is to find qualified and motivated people with good language skills and who would be available according to the deadlines. This is not easy, but this is why I love my job.
Moovijob: You participated in Moovijob Night Luxembourg, could you please, give us your feedback about this job party?
I really liked this Moovijob Night party. The organisation was perfect. The fact that this party is organised like a networking event and not a job fair made it a more casual occasion where it was easier to meet stressless candidates. The quality of the profiles at this job party was very high, that was considerable.
We took a lot of contacts and hope that this will lead to concrete recruitment process in the coming weeks or months.
