System Administrator – Linux Junior(m/f)

Do you automate things rather than doing them twice ?

We are looking for a

System Administrator – Linux Junior(m/f) with a will to become a Linux guru

Working alternatively in two shifts between 7AM and 7PM & on call services

As part of the infrastructure team, you will be part of Linux operations team:

First : the learning phase :

·      Learn and work on projects and continuous improvement

·      Learn and work on production daily checks and daily operations.

·      Learn and work on potential issues , guided by team members.

Then, the target will be to:

·      Support capacity planning and long-term strategic goals for Linux and the decommissioning of Solaris systems

·      Participate in lifecycle management process and migration from legacy version to brand new system.

·      Participate in determining opportunities for improvement of services and automation

·      Apply standard configuration, management and maintenance tasks

·      Participate in performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades, resource optimization, systems upgrade/patching

·      Participate in hardware and software problems anticipation and resolution on all Linux systems.

·      Participate in ensuring the system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures are coincident to defined business strategy

·      Participate in documentation for related tools and processes creation and updating

·      Participate in Infrastructure projects

To be the best in the job, you need:

·      To be curious and eager to learn

·      Starter knowledge with Linux distributions

·      To be interested on RedHat distribution

·      Have notions of Kubernetes, Puppet, Ansible / Ansible Tower / terraform / Rancher / ELK / Redhat Satellite/Artifactory, HA proxy, Squid, Ngninx… !! Interview tip !! : You can explain their weaknesses and strengths.

·      Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing in English and French

·      Available for planned maintenance or the occasional emergency interventions.
