As a systems administrator, your job is to ensure that an organisation's IT infrastructure runs smoothly. You take care of the installation of workstations, including cabling, operating systems, software and interfaces. You may be in charge of data backup and security. In order to guarantee the continuity of services, you will also be required to correct bugs and plan update operations. Finally, it will be imperative to work with users on-site to ensure that workstations meet their needs. Your profile as a general IT engineer will be in demand in small businesses. There will also be specialist profiles in the area of IT consulting.
