For one of our clients, a European Institution located in Luxembourg Kirchberg, Sofitex Talent is currently looking for a :

Chief Executive/Deputy Chief Executive - Data Governance Officer (M/F)

Job Description: Purpose:

 

Within a prestigious international financial institution, the incumbent will play a key role in the implementation of a best-in-class approach to data governance; the responsibilities of the position will extend to associated aspects of systems development, data extraction and dashboarding, thereby providing a holistic contribution to the organisation’s move towards becoming data-driven.

 

Operating network:

 

Working in a team and reporting directly to the Head of Unit, the successful candidate contributes to the development of the Unit and Division’s goal by notably being a point of contact across the Institution. The job requires a constant interface with internal services within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

 

Depending on experience, the successful candidate will be expected to take on the following responsibilities and/or lead or contribute to the following processes:

-              Act as Data Officer across a defined set of (existing and new) Investment Office data points, developing a detailed understanding of their lineage and usage across the organisation

-              Establish and implement relevant data quality checks and analysis

-              Maintain a detailed understanding of upcoming internal system developments with a view to ensuring a robust implementation from a data flow and data governance perspective

-              In the field of data analytics and data queries, step in as needed to provide support to internal counterparts

-              Identify ways of improving or enhancing data storage, retrieval and analysis tools in order to support the institution’s transition towards a data-driven organisation

-              Support other members of the team, as needed and to the extent relevant, in relation to associated activities including in the field of modelling and projections

Profil

Qualifications:

 

•             University degree in Finance, Economics. Engineering or Business Administration (preferably at postgraduate level) with a combination of the above being an additional asset;

•             Relevant experience between three and five years in the financial sector ideally with direct responsibilities for data handling and/or data governance; or alternatively an excellent technical understanding and enthusiasm for the topic;

•             Prior experience with some or all of eFront, DAMS, Tableau, Alteryx and Python, or else the demonstrable ability to acquire such expertise quickly;

•             Prior experience in data extraction, data manipulation & analytics, data governance, systems development and/or system maintenance would be an advantage;

•             Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be considered an advantage.

•             Sense of initiative and problem-solving approach;

•             Ability to organise her/his work, set priorities and meet tight deadlines;

This is an opportunity for an initial contract of 2 months, with possible extensions afterwards.

 

Salary ranges between 4000€ and 5000€ gross per month, depending on experience.
