Hudson (Executive Search Company) is exclusively recruiting a Business Development Manager for a company active in the packaging sector, in order to increase and reinforce its market share in Europe. The focus will be on strengthening the brand image, packaging development, testing, recycling and innovation for B2B customers.

Role and Responsibilities
- Drive Market Expansion: Leverage your existing network and engage in proactive prospecting, cold calling, and networking with brands, advertising agencies, and contract manufacturers.
- Market Analysis: Utilize data and reports to understand market conditions, identify potential business opportunities, and discern emerging trends.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with the local General Manager and headquarters to develop and manage the business development budget.
- Key Account Management: Serve as the main contact for selected brand owners and establish relationships with new potential accounts.
- Negotiation: Effectively negotiate terms and conditions with clients to finalize business deals.
- Sales Achievement: Meet and exceed the sales targets and revenue goals set by the company.
- Customer Presentations: Deliver professional presentations to both prospective and existing customers.
- Collaboration with Engineering: Partner with engineering teams to secure new business opportunities.
- Project Management: Oversee projects from initiation to completion.
- Brand Visibility: Ensure optimal visibility of the company's products and services.
- Company Representation: Represent the company at conferences, requiring strong presentation skills.
- Industry Networking: Actively network with associations related to packaging development, recycling, and sustainability to build stronger connections.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and enhance key customer relationships, focusing on quality and growth in sales and service capabilities, particularly with brand owners, resin manufacturers, and converters.


The profile

- Master's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience in sales or management within packaging development, plastic /PET packaging equipment, or resin manufacturing
- Experience selling to or managing private brands, national brands, advertising agencies, and contract manufacturers
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Exceptional ability to create and deliver sales presentations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus
- Strong planning and organizational abilities
- Self-starter with a demonstrated strong work ethic
- High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism
- Enthusiastic about new trends and innovation
- Flexibility to travel throughout Europe with eventual trips in other Countries (about 50%)
