We are looking for a Senior Business Development Executive with prior experience in law firms or legal services to support and execute our business development initiatives. This role will involve assisting in planning, managing relationships, and executing our business development strategy to foster growth in alignment with the firm's objectives. The candidate will report to the Business Development Manager, and the role is based in Luxembourg City.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of business development plans for Luxembourg service lines, ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals.
  • Assist with the preparation of directory submissions, including drafting and coordinating submissions for Chambers, Legal 500, and ILFR, while facilitating internal follow-ups on deal sheets and referee lists.
  • Coordinate planning meetings with service line teams to review progress and identify future actions.
  • Help manage budgets for planned activities, ensuring all initiatives are executed and reviewed effectively.
  • Promote the effective use of the firm's CRM system, ensuring best practices are followed for tracking and reporting.
  • Develop targeted client lists using CRM insights to enhance outreach efforts across service lines.
  • Assist in creating comprehensive collateral, including pitch documents, team sheets, and deal sheets tailored to Luxembourg legal service lines.
  • Facilitate jurisdiction-specific client engagement activities to help lawyers in strengthening key client and intermediary relationships.
  • Monitor and control expenditure against budgets in collaboration with service line teams, providing timely updates on financial performance.
  • Collaborate with Knowledge Management and Marketing teams to ensure accurate distribution of client briefings and regulatory updates.
  • Assist with the execution of client events, including seminars, bespoke events, corporate hospitality, and conferences, both locally and internationally.
  • Assist with virtual events and webinars, ensuring high levels of engagement and effectiveness in delivery.
  • Contribute to training initiatives within the group by developing and delivering business development training modules.
  • Work collaboratively with BD teams across jurisdictions to support cross-border business development activities.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional services business development experience, preferably within law firms or legal services environments.
  • Proficient in both business English and French, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail; capable of interpreting complex data to inform decisions.
  • The ability to network with clients and intermediaries; and able to represent the firm effectively in various settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively with a positive "can-do" attitude; results-oriented mindset.
  • Experience using CRM systems; familiarity with email automation tools is a plus.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new systems, processes, and procedures as needed.
