My client, a leading cryptocurrency exchange is looking for his new Head of Compliance.
Your responsabilities :
- Lead the second line of defense: Work closely with Authorized Managers and Heads of Functions across Luxembourg and abroad.
- Develop and implement compliance strategy: Ensure systems and procedures are effective for AML and KYC compliance, enabling business growth.
- Oversee compliance programs: Continuously monitor and improve the performance of AML, KYC, and compliance programs, while providing regular reports.
- Coordinate across regions: Collaborate with global teams in headquarter and in the international to maintain consistency in compliance practices.
- Ensure regulatory compliance: Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and CSSF circulars, ensuring compliance within Luxembourg and the European Union.
- Reporting and documentation: Maintain accurate internal documentation and report to Authorized Managers and Boards of Directors.
Your profile :
- Holds a degree, diploma, or certificates in compliance or law, with specialized knowledge or strong interest in blockchain and the cryptocurrency industry.
- Over 5 years of experience in compliance roles within regulated financial institutions, fintech, or legal/audit firms, focusing on compliance.
- Capable of designing, implementing, and maintaining compliance procedures effectively.
- Strong decision-making ability and effective communication skills.
- Well-versed in EU AML, payments, consumer protection, and corporate governance regulations.
- Comfortable working in multicultural environments, with experience or interest in crypto or blockchain industries.
- You speaks english, french is desirable and other european language are considered as an advantage.
