Our client, a leading company in the insurance sector based in Luxembourg, is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join their team. The Compliance department plays a crucial role in advising management and various services on compliance with regulations, assessing the impact of legal changes, and identifying and evaluating compliance risks. The department also ensures that activities align with the sustainability strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and revise policies and procedures related to prudential regulations.
- Monitor the correct application of prudential policies and procedures.
- Draft reports on the identification and assessment of compliance risks, covering prudential and sustainability aspects, for the management, executive committee, board of directors, group, and authorities.
- Liaise with regulators, administrative, and judicial authorities.
- Follow up on irregularities identified during audits, controls, and complaints concerning prudential and sustainability matters.
- Act as an ESG reference, implementing the sustainability strategy and developing and delivering training on prudential regulations and ESG initiatives.
- Coordinate and monitor the completeness of sustainability reporting.
- Participate in working groups on prudential and sustainability issues.
Profile :
- University degree holder, preferably with a Master's in law, and several years of experience in a similar position within a financial company in Luxembourg
- Strong knowledge of financial and banking laws and regulations, knowledge of ESG/SFDR regulations is a plus.
- Leadership skills to motivate and lead teams.
- Fluent in French and English; German is an advantage.
- Solution-oriented with a pedagogical approach.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to synthesize information.
- Professional rigor, critical thinking, proactivity, and flexibility.
- Team spirit and openness to change and diversity.
