After the success of the first Moovijob Day Luxembourg in Saarbrücken, the Job and Career Development Fair returned for a second edition at the Saarlandhalle on Friday, June 14th, 2024. A total of 3,540 visitors attended to meet 45 Luxembourgish companies, making the day a true success. Over 600 roles in various sectors were available. The fair was the perfect place to meet German-speaking, Franco-German, and international profiles.

Exploring new horizons

At job fairs, candidates seek to establish direct contact, an opportunity that doesn't exist on job boards, for example. Direct interactions with recruiters in a professional setting often provide valuable opportunities to effectively showcase one’s skills to potential future employers.

The event is a great opportunity to connect with recruiters and make new contacts. I have already had some interesting conversations.” indicates a candidate searching for his/her dream job in Luxembourg.

Thanks to a massive media plan featuring impactful and colorful visuals, as well as targeted digital communication, the team successfully attracted a specific audience and left a lasting impression with this fair in Germany.

The goal? Provide professional opportunities in Luxembourg to German-speaking profiles while meeting the needs of Luxembourgish companies.

Moreover, the fair serves as a valuable opportunity to receive advice and information on how to write a CV, interview preparation, and professional interactions.

“I thought I had a great resume, until I came here, and got the opportunity to network and get a lot of advice to improve my CV.” told us a participant who came from Italy to attend the fair.

New opportunities for Luxembourgish companies

Participating in a fair beyond borders, such as the one organized in Germany, allows companies to attract and target a new audience. For many businesses, the search for qualified German-speaking profiles is a priority. Therefore, this event presents an excellent opportunity to establish valuable connections. Participating in events in Germany enables companies to widen their recruitment pool, discover talents that may not be available locally, and enhance their global presence. It also emphasizes the importance of engaging with different cultures and developing language skills and competencies.

“There are a lot of profiles here that are interesting for us, as we mostly rely on German-speaking profiles due to our location. Therefore, we have some potential candidates here.“ indicates Corinna Neis, HR Generalist at Dupont, who is delighted with her participation in the event.

This fair also offers German-speaking candidates a unique opportunity to discover professional opportunities in Luxembourg, thereby facilitating connections between recruiters and job seekers.

“Very informative, lots of companies. I have done my research beforehand on what's interesting for me, and the different companies take a lot of time for each candidate.” declares a participant at the fair. Preparation for such an event is also important, as acknowledged by this candidate, who mentions having found all necessary information through the event's website and's social media.

We are delighted to successfully conclude the first half of 2024. But stay tuned, as many surprises are coming very soon. 🤫
