Waagner-Biro Luxembourg Stage Systems S.A. is part of the Waagner-Biro Stage Systems Group, one of the world's largest suppliers of stage technology, with headquarters in Austria. As one of the global market leaders, the company develops and installs stage technology systems for opera houses, theatres, music halls, multi-purpose halls, and cruise ships. The main focus at the Luxembourg location in Rodange and Bascharage is developing the safety-related control system for the stage machinery "Computer-Aided Theatre" (C⋅A⋅T), which uses state-of-the-art technology to control the upper stage and lower stage machinery in more than 300 venues worldwide.

TASK DESCRIPTION 

During the internship, the candidate will be involved in the following activities:

• Perform functional testing of C·A·T control desks, electronic boards, servers and peripheral equipment.
• Prepare and configure servers according to project requirements.
• Program electronic boards and controllers following established procedures.
• Verify hardware and software functionality and document test results.
• Prepare and configure demonstration systems for exhibitions, customer presentations and internal use.
• Create and apply product labels, serial number labels and traceability markings.
• Maintain technical documentation, test reports and configuration records.
• Support troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment and quality control activities.
• Assist in inventory management and preparation of equipment for shipment.

OUR REQUIREMENTS 

• Currently pursuing studies in Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
• Strong interest in electronics, computer systems and industrial technology.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Structured and detail-oriented way of working.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Fluent English and French or English and German. 

NICE TO HAVE  

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking.
• Experience with software installation and configuration.
• Knowledge of electronic components and test equipment.
• Experience with technical documentation.
• Experience with Linux.
• Any other language.

OUR OFFER

We are looking for a student who would be available to work with us regularly during their free time and holidays over the next few years, until they complete their degree. Interns gain hands-on experience in product testing, electronic board programming, server preparation, quality assurance and technical documentation within the Production Department.

SALARY RANGE

The salary we offer is based on the statutory student wage rates applicable in Luxembourg.
