You will design and develop innovative geospatial software solutions that power digital twin platforms for sustainable cities, regions, and environmental systems. Working with large-scale spatial, temporal, and 3D datasets, you will build interoperable applications, APIs, and analytics services that transform complex geospatial information into actionable insights. Leveraging GeoAI, spatial analytics, and modern software engineering practices, you will contribute to the development of intelligent decision-support tools addressing urban planning, mobility, climate resilience, energy, and environmental challenges. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transform research concepts into scalable prototypes and reusable solutions deployed across European innovation projects.
Your profile:
- Master's degree in GIS, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Strong Python development skills and experience with geospatial technologies.
- Expertise in GIS, spatial databases, APIs, and geospatial data processing.
- Experience with GeoPandas, PostGIS, GDAL, QGIS, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of Digital Twins, GeoAI, spatial analytics, and geospatial standards.
- Familiarity with cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices.
- Fluent English; additional European languages are considered an asset.
