VP Finance (m/f/x)

For our department Finance & Purchasing within General Services, we are looking for a (an):

VP Finance (m/f/x)

Main duties:

• Manage and ensure the proper functioning of the General Accounting, Revenue Accounting and Treasury, Credit Control, and Customer Accounting departments.
• Be responsible for the organization and management of the staff in the afore mentioned departments.
• Ensure the monthly closing process and the reliability of the statutory and consolidated financial statements of Luxair and its subsidiaries in Lux GAAP, as well as the IFRS reporting to shareholders at regular intervals.
• Maintain compliance with VAT declarations and other tax obligations and declarations in Luxembourg and abroad.
• Develop the budget for the Finance departments and contribute to the monthly budget follow-up in close collaboration with the Controlling department.

• Ensure various financial tasks for the company, such as:
  - Hedging for aircraft fuel, CO2, electricity, and foreign currency operations;
  - Regular cash flow statements, ensure liquidity, working capital requirements, financing and investments management;
  - Tax management, forecasts, reports;
  - Pension plans and related issues;
  - Insurance and reinsurance;
  - Monitoring annual accounts and financial performance of group participations;
  - Potential mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, or reorganizations.
• Establish and ensure the implementation of internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and minimize revenue losses and fraud risks.
• Manage the interaction with internal and external auditors.
• Develop and ensure the implementation of financial objectives and improvements in financial policies, procedures, and processes
• Evaluate the opportunity and benefits of task automation.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders such as investors, creditors, banks, regulators, and other financial institutions.
• Perform and/or supervise various administrative tasks as needed by the Finance and Controlling departments.

Required profile:

Minimum required criteria :

• Hold a higher education diploma in finance (Bachelor's degree +5) or a Bachelor's degree +3 with equivalent experience in Finance, including Accounting, Treasury, and Controlling.
• At least 8 years of experience.
• Experience in team management, project management, and organizational methods.
• Good knowledge of LuxGAAP, IFRS, and applicable tax rules in Luxembourg.
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, and a sharp business sense.
• Proficiency in common office tools.
• Proven ability to handle new ideas and creative solutions.
• Fluency in English and French. Knowledge of Luxembourgish, German, and any other language will be considered an asset.

Desired or to be acquired criteria:

• Mastery of the specific programs of the department.
• Knowledge of current tax laws and regulations in Luxembourg.
• Ability to work independently and have good team management and communication skills.
• Experience in the field of financial and non-financial reporting.

The ideal candidate:

• Having previous similar experience and/or a minimum of 10 years of experience in the aforementioned areas.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Proficiency in Luxembourgish, German, and any other language.
