The Société de l'Aéroport de Luxembourg (lux-Airport) is the aerodrome operator responsible for the operation of the airport infrastructure. Our platform provides, among other things, direct flight services to more than 100 destinations via 16 airlines.
We have more than 350 employees, with different backgrounds and 19 nationalities.
Together we work daily to ensure the efficient operation of the airport and to provide a quality service to our passengers.
Thanks to everyone's commitment, we live up to our motto of being the best-in-class airport. Our reputation is also reflected in a few key figures: by the end of 2022, for example, we reached 4.05 million passengers and 975,000 tonnes of cargo.
In order to continue to meet our commitments and to develop other projects, we are currently recruiting : a Head of Retail / Business Development.

Your responsibilities
· Recruiting, organising, planing, training and developing the team
· Drawing up and managing the department's budget
· Being responsible for developing the department's activities
· Initiating new department-wide projects and participating in major cross-functional projects
· Working closely and effectively with other managers to ensure strategic and operational alignment across the company
· Organising, supervising and developing retail activities (shops, catering, services, conference centre)
· Analysing customer experience in order to develop products and services
· Developing advertising activity
· Managing airline development activities (airline marketing, communications)
· Organising, supervising and developing the activities of the air cargo community
· Cooperating with various internal players to coordinate retail activities Cooperate with various external players to develop the retail offer
· Preparing and managing the annual budget
· Ensuring the follow-up of reports from commercial partners
· Participating in the integration of new employees
. Participating in waste sorting and energy saving through responsible behaviour

The required profile
Studies / training :
Master’s degree and relevant experience in a similar position
Experience :
10 years’ successful experience in an equivalent position
Skills and knowledge required:

Languages :
Mandatory:
- English: fluent spoken and written;
- French: fluent spoken and written;
Specific knowledge linked to the job:
- Strong experience as a manager
- Capacity of managing complex environment
- Driving licence B
