Responsibilities
As a Tax Compliance Officer, you will oversee crucial compliance tasks to ensure regulatory adherence and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing direct tax returns in collaboration with the Tax Manager.
- Handling FATCA/CRS due diligence and reporting processes.
- Coordinating and filing VAT returns while liaising with tax authorities, advisors, and auditors.
- Assisting clients with day-to-day tax queries and providing expert guidance.
- Managing tax return filing deadlines and organizing team efforts to ensure timely submissions.
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members on direct tax matters.
- Promoting knowledge sharing within the tax department and the broader company.
Candidate Profile
To succeed as a Tax Compliance Officer, your profile should include:
- A Master's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Law, with at least 6 years of Luxembourg tax compliance experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Luxembourg Direct Tax, with familiarity in VAT and FATCA/CRS regulations.
- Strong understanding of Luxembourg’s corporate and fund industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Fluency in English and French, with German considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tax platforms.
