Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated Trainee to join our Data Quality team. This role is ideal for a candidate eager to develop expertise in data governance and quality within a leading global financial institution. You will support the identification, analysis, and remediation of data quality issues, contributing to the bank’s operational resilience and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying data quality issues through data profiling and analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Support investigations to determine root causes of data discrepancies and errors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business units and IT to define and implement remediation actions.
- Monitor remediation progress and validate data corrections to ensure sustained data quality improvements.
- Document remediation plans, findings, and outcomes in accordance with Société Générale’s standards and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the enhancement of data quality controls, policies, and governance frameworks.
- Participate actively in training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Support regular reporting to management on data quality status and remediation activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Management, or related discipline.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Basic knowledge of data management principles and data quality concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools is a plus.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt within a dynamic environment.
