APPLICATION SUPPORT & AUTOMATION INTEGRATION OFFICER - AUTOMIC SUPPORT
The Application Support team is part of the IT department that monitors and maintains the efficiency of our business applications. They are experts in optimising and building business processes and in supporting our end users, which are both our employees and our credit card customers. The focus of this role will be to assist the Application Support team with updating the existing Automic jobs to their optimum utilisation, handle Automic alerts and modify jobs to be reusable. The Application Support & Automation Integration Officer reports to the Head of Application Support & Automation Integration.
ABOUT THE JOB l What will you do?
As Application Support & Automation Integration Officer, you will be responsible for the following activities:
- Providing software/business application support in a cross-functional delivery model (DevOps)
- Performing analyses on software application functionality and suggesting improvements
- Ensuring effective front-end and back-end functionality of applications
- Collaborating with software development engineers, testers, business analysts and internal/external users to improve application performance
- Managing code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronised functionality
- Establishing the root causes of application errors and initiate resolution
- Keeping a record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates/upgrades
- Documenting configuration changes and processes
- Providing support to customers and colleagues in business departments
- Providing on-call support on a rotational basis
ABOUT YOU l What’s your background?
- Vocational training or diploma in Information Technology or similar field
- At least 3 years of experience in application support with Automic administration
- Proficiency in troubleshooting
- Knowledge and experience of SQL server and core banking system
- Good knowledge of the following:
- archiving ( Documentum)
- workload automation ( Automic)
- setup and monitoring production job
- secure data transfer (internal/external)
- coordination and deployment of new software releases in both User Acceptance Testing and production environments
