In-house Senior Legal Counsel - Notable Financial Institution

Your Responsibilities:

In this position, you will provide legal support and advice for our financing products. Your key focus areas will include:

• Managing legal support for retail (customer) financing, including loans, leases, and related security documents.
• Overseeing wholesale (dealer) financing matters such as factoring agreements, guarantees, and subordination agreements.
• Handling regulatory and corporate law matters, including intercompany agreements and funding programs.
• Conducting legal research and offering proactive recommendations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, managing litigation with counterparties, and coordinating with outside counsel and notaries as necessary.
• Supporting projects from our Global Law Services Group.

Your profile:

• A European Law degree and certification as a qualified lawyer, with a minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with data privacy and regulatory requirements is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, conscientious, and accurate in your work.
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
• A high sense of responsibility and initiative, with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Fluency in English and French.
