CFL multimodal is a company active in rail and logistics freight throughout Europe.
To join our commercial team, we are currently looking for a:
Procurement Officer - Railways Industry (m/f)
Your Mission:
Under the procurement specialist and integrated to the project team in direct connection with the sales and operational dpt you will be in charge of :
- Negotiate partnerships with recurrent subcontractors for rail traction, yard and terminal operations.
- Carry out subcontracting purchases
- Establish the specifications for negotiation (price expectations but also service level and operational process)
- Monitor the operational and financial performance of subcontractors
- Set up and update supplier or product databases
- Technical & finance analysis to :
- Ensure balancing of demand and capacity to optimize quality of service, run costs and enable acquisition of new traffic/customers
- Develop budgetary analyses to defend the investments to allow the evolution of capacities (Budget) in coherence with the forecasts
- Analyze and anticipate changes in available capacity and find appropriate solutions
- Analyze the impact of capacity losses (e.g. train paths due to works) and define customer priorities in agreement with the Head of Sales
Your Profile:
- You have a university degree in purchase.
- You have at least 2 years similar experience in a similar position. A previous experience in purchasing of technical or industrial environment is mandatory.
- You are fluent in French, English (German would be an advantage).
- You are a gifted communicator and you have strong negotiation skills.
- You have the ability to set the right priorities and to solve problems.
- Team spirit, initiative and flexibility are part of your strengths and the willingness to learn in a technically environment.
- Leader by nature, you will be encouraged to make proposals
- You have an excellent knowledge of in using the standard MS Office applications.
