Moovijob Day Luxembourg Ă  Metz 2025

The Moovijob Day Luxembourg fair made a big splash on Friday, 27 June 2025, with its grand return to Metz, featuring for the first time an edition composed exclusively of Luxembourg-based companies. Held at the Metz Congrès Robert Schuman Centre, the event brought together 44 exhibitors and 4,140 visitors from the Grand Est region, Luxembourg, as well as Paris, but even Normandy.

Relive this memorable event with us and discover the keys to its success.

A meticulous communications strategy

The success of this return to Metz is based in part on the communication strategy implemented beforehand.

On the exhibitors’ side, the announcement of the 2025 schedule at the start of the year, targeted prospecting carried out by our team of account managers, social media campaigns, and dedicated mailings all helped to convince 44 Luxembourg companies and training organisations to participate. The key argument? The opportunity to meet talents who until now had not considered crossing the border.

On the visitors’ side, the aim was to attract a wide range of profiles interested in the Luxembourg job market. An initial large-scale communication plan was deployed:

  • Billboard advertising in Metz via the JCDecaux network;
  • Digital communication throughout the Grand Est region and in Luxembourg;
  • Mass email campaigns.

At the same time, more targeted communication was conducted to reach profiles in line with exhibitors’ needs (job-specific campaigns, targeted mailings, direct sourcing, etc.).

These combined efforts resulted in high-quality attendance and fruitful professional synergies on the day.

Well-prepared visitors

To maximise opportunities at the fair, visitors needed to come prepared. Moovijob.com supported the 2,393 pre-registered profiles with several email campaigns offering key advice, such as:

  • Reviewing the list of companies, identifying those relevant to their career plans, and researching their offers, sector and operations;
  • Tailoring CVs to the targeted roles and bringing multiple printed copies;
  • Preparing an elevator pitch;
  • Choosing the right outfit;
  • Consulting the floor plan in advance.

Non-registered visitors were able to find out all they needed to know via social media and articles on the Moovijob.com blog. On-site, everything was organised to optimise their experience:

  • Distribution of the official guide and map at the entrance;
  • A giant QR code wall to browse offers by sector;
  • Clear signage;
  • Exhibitors zoned by theme (Advice/Training/Public services, Finance, Health/Care/Social services, Industry/Construction/Transport, IT/Consulting, and Retail/Horesca/Services).

Conferences to learn and progress

Throughout the day, several free conferences allowed visitors to learn more about working in Luxembourg, training opportunities and apprenticeships.

Moovijob.com kicked off with a presentation on career opportunities in Luxembourg. Mathilde Marcher and Nicolas Nguyen from the Sourcing & Campus department also gave practical advice on how to stand out at a job fair.

Julien Dauer, Director of Frontaliers Grand Est, then presented the specifics of the cross-border worker status in Luxembourg, covering procedures, misconceptions and points of caution.

ICN Business School, represented by Elizabeth Ascherl and Samantha Nguyen, highlighted the importance of lifelong training and gave advice on mastering the elevator pitch for interviews.

Finally, Julien Frighetto, co-founder of L22 School of Business, led a session dedicated to apprenticeships in Luxembourg, outlining their rules, operations and benefits.

Professional synergies at the heart of the event

The fair offered hundreds of opportunities across all fields: permanent contracts, fixed-term contracts, temporary work, internships, apprenticeships, full-time, part-time, entry-level and experienced profiles... There was something for everyone!

Feedback was unanimous from both exhibitors and visitors.

Anaïs Dunand, Human Resources Business Partner at Veolia Luxembourg, was pleasantly surprised by visitors’ interest in the Luxembourg market: "We met some very good profiles, varied and very focused on our field: technicians, engineers and site supervisors." She added that several candidates she met at the fair will soon be invited to interviews, potentially leading to hires.

InTech also emphasises the diversity and motivation of the candidates it met: "An edition with lots of different profiles who know what they want. We met web and application developers as well as business analysts, and system and network specialists. For us, it's all positive."

Similar positive feedback came from the training organisation ICN Business School, which praised the quality and diversity of profiles encountered. The team on site was able to interact with visitors interested in their Master's degrees or Executive MBA, as well as with coaches (or future coaches) wishing to train at their school.

Visitors were equally enthusiastic.

A continuous improvement manager with 20 years' experience in the French automotive industry said she was delighted with the initiative. She sees the fair as an opportunity to "broaden the field", believing that the French job market is currently "stagnant". The conferences on cross-border work were of particular interest to her.

A sales representative with 7 years’ experience in banking, who came specially from Paris after discovering the event on social media, praised the accessibility of the fair. He appreciated "the openness of the recruiters" and the fact that the event was "on a human scale". He does not regret making the trip and recommends the experience.
