Moovijob Day Luxembourg in Trier 2025

Following the success of its 15th edition in Luxembourg, the Moovijob Day fair made its way to Germany with a first-ever event in Trier, held at the Messepark. The largest job and career development fair in the Greater Region once again extended its reach beyond borders. After two successful editions in Saarbrücken in 2023 and 2024, it was now the turn of Germany’s oldest city to welcome Luxembourg companies eager to connect with both German and international talent.

Exhibitors and talents showed up

On Friday, 23 May, 57 Luxembourg exhibitors and 3,613 visitors gathered at the Messepark Trier for this unique edition in Trier. Spread across seven areas, the companies and institutionson site offered a wide range of opportunities, from permanent contracts to internships, as well as training programmes. Over 1,000 job offers were available in a single day. The Industry / Construction / Transport (23 stands), Finance (12 stands), and Healthcare / Medical Care / Social services (11 stands) sectors were particularly well represented.

Highlights of the day

Before the official opening, exhibitors were welcomed to set up their stands and enjoy a nice breakfast in the dedicated lounge area: charcuterie, cheese, pastries, juice… and even a glass of crémant!

At 10am, the doors opened to visitors eager to boost their careers. Each guest received a guide and a fair map upon arrival, and a giant wall of QR codes allowed them to use their mobile phones to instantly access job vacancies in the areas that interested them.

At 11am, Moovijob.com hosted the first conference of the day. Delivered in german, the session was led by Elisabeth Lerche (Sourcing & Campus Officer) and Inga Moning (Sales Manager), who shared valuable advice on how to succeed professionally in Luxembourg, an excellent primer for speaking with recruiters!

Throughout the day, food and refreshments were available to both visitors and exhibitors. A special mention goes to the exhibitors, who enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared in a live cooking show.

Two other conferences were held in the afternoon:

  • At 1pm, Stefan Hahn (Director) and Christopher Dier (Marketing & Communication Manager) from Köhl Maschinenbau presented exciting career opportunities at their company (session in German).
  • At 2pm, Petra Major, Head of TA Business Partner – Continental Europe at IQ-EQ, led an inspiring talk in english titled "To Power People and Possibilities."

Testimonials that make us smile

From the exhibitors’ side, the day proved to be a great success. Recruiters met a wide range of candidates with diverse backgrounds and strong skill sets, many of whom were multilingual.

Caroline Hoffmann, recruitment officer at SERVIOR and a regular attendee of the Moovijob.com events, shared her thoughts:

“This was a new experience: our first time in Trier, and it was very interesting. The profiles we met were different from those we usually see in Luxembourg, and we received promising applications. For SERVIOR, it’s essential to take part in events like this.”

Eric Kreutz, from the HR department at Fischer Panelux, shared the sentiment, praising the diversity and quality of the candidates, from warehouse staff to SPS programmers and truck drivers. Meanwhile, the team at Digital Learning Hub also highlighted the quality of interactions: “We found all kinds of profiles,” they noted, “and different ones than at other Moovijob.com events.” Present to promote their training programmes and scout for expert trainers, they even found some strong candidates for internships in their communication team.

Lucie Metz, HR Project Manager at POST Luxembourg, was equally impressed:

“We met a wide variety of candidates, with technical skills that are very relevant to our IT openings. We were also delighted to see that many were multilingual.”

From the visitors’ side, two finance professionals highlighted the event’s appeal, noting how it helped them expand their network and discover new career paths

A student attending to explore opportunities also welcomed the initiative:

“I think it’s fantastic for both students and professionals in Trier that Moovijob.com is organising fairs beyond Luxembourg’s borders.”
