Organising 5 job fairs in 5 days was the new challenge set by Moovijob.com at the end of 2024. After an intense week, the mission has been accomplished: over 100 Luxembourg companies and nearly 15,000 visitors attended the five-day event at the ECCL.
Monday, 25th November: the Health/Medical Care/Social Services sector kicks off the week
10:30 am: The 28 companies from the Health/Care/Social sector are set up, curious to experience a day dedicated exclusively to their field. Some of the recruiters' eyes were filled with doubt, as the job market is challenging, and profiles such as nurses, carers, and educators are increasingly rare. Any doubts were dispelled by the arrival of several hundred visitors as soon as the doors opened.
For the care home Les Jardins d’Alysea: "This new concept allows us to meet profiles that match our needs while spending more quality time with the people we meet."
Visitors also appreciated this dedicated day. One candidate transitioning into the sector shared: "The event helped me learn more about the social and medical landscape. I also got to meet associations offering volunteering opportunities."
A total of 2,844 visitors were welcomed on this first day.

Tuesday, 26th November: Retail/Hospitality/Services takes over
Following the Health sector, this 2nd day showcased key players from the retail, bakery, hotel and restaurant sectors, as well as companies dedicated to providing services to individuals and businesses. The 22 companies present were particularly keen to meet security guards, butchers, bakers, cheds and multilingual sales staff.
According to Stéphanie Borner - HR Talent Manager at Fischer: "This was a successful first! The event enabled us to showcase jobs that are less known in Luxembourg. We were able to meet some interesting people while enjoying a pleasant day."
A total of 2,602 visitors were welcomed on this second day.

Wednesday, 27th November: it's the turn of Industry/Engineering/Construction sector to shine
Mi-week, 37 companies from the industrial, construction, logistics, rail transport, as well recruitment agency sectors came together. Buyers, bodybuilders, electricians and engineers were all in high demand, although the balance of requirements is heavily weighted in favour of "blue-collar" workers.
Marie Komorek, Head of the Construction Agency at Sofitex with 15 years of experience in Luxembourg’s recruitment sector, “fully supports this new concept. The idea of sector-specific fairs is more impactful for us. This day will lead to several placements starting next week!”
Visitors also found this day highly valuable. One of them told us: "As a young graduate engineer, I'm looking for my first experience in Luxembourg, and this event is ideal for meeting employers in my sector directly."
A total of 2,750 visitors were welcomed on the third day.

Thursday, 28th November: the focus shifts to IT
The complementary sectors continued with Thursday’s event dedicated to IT, featuring 22 companies recruiting for specialised roles in digital professions: AI, web and software development, cybersecurity, network architecture and database management.
Service companies were of course present, but they were surrounded by a wide range of players, including industry, institutions and local authorities. Everyone is concerned by the digitisation and security of our tools.
The day was a flurry of activity as companies and visitors engaged in discussions throughout the event. Aziz Lazizi, IT Service Desk Manager at Proximus, noted: "We saw a wide range of profiles: final-year students as well as international candidates, such as a professional from Lille. We were also pleased to meet experienced professionals and students trained in high-demand fields like AI and data science."
A total of 3,010 visitors were welcomed on this fourth day.

Friday, 29th November: the Banking/Insurance/Financial Services sector closes the week
On this final day, the spotlight was on 23 Luxembourg companies, including banks, insurance firms, fiduciaries, accountancy firms, investment fund management companies and audit and consultancy firms. The demand was high for actuaries, business analysts, compliance officers, fund accountants, legal professionals, and economists.
According to Eva Garolera Álvarez, Talent Acquisition Manager EMEA at CBRE, "recruitment is becoming increasingly sector-specific and experience-driven." For her, the Moovijob Week perfectly embodies this concept, providing an ideal platform to find talents aligned with their needs. She was also pleasantly surprised by the diversity of profiles, ranging from promising young graduates to seasoned professionals she did not expect to meet.
A total of 3,340 visitors attended this fifth and final day, bringing the first edition of Moovijob Week to a close with great success.

The second edition is already planned for November 2025. We already have a number of ideas to refine the Moovijob Week and ensure the next edition is even better!"
