Job Opportunity: Employee Relations Consultant (Luxembourg, AVP) – 12-Month Contract

Start/End Dates: 7/1/2024 - 6/30/2025 

Location: Luxembourg

 

Job Description:

An esteemed client is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant for a 12-month contract in Luxembourg. This role is a vital part of the Global Human Resources & Corporate Citizenship organization, significantly contributing to the company's human capital strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage Employee Relations (ER) activities in Luxembourg.

- Partner with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), managers, and employees to resolve complex ER issues.

- Conduct investigations on performance, sickness absence, conduct, grievances, and anti-harassment matters, providing support and advice to ensure fair and consistent outcomes.

- Collaborate with stakeholders in legal, risk, and compliance on ER and conduct matters.

- Work closely with the Staff Delegation and HR Country Head in Luxembourg.

- Offer country-specific guidance on global projects, initiatives, and policies.

- Stay updated on ER practices and legislative changes, implementing necessary adjustments.

- Participate in global, regional, and country-based HR and business projects and initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

- Strategic thinking and the ability to consult with managers and leaders at all levels.

- Strong managerial courage, capable of handling critical conversations with diplomacy and tact.

- In-depth knowledge of employee relations and Luxembourg labor laws, with familiarity in other European countries being a plus.

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Confidence in making difficult decisions and clearly articulating the reasoning.

- Successful track record in collaborating with Staff Delegation.

- Experience in global organizations and matrix structures is advantageous.

- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
