Your mission :

The Cryptographic Service Manager brings specific expertise in Crypto Asset Management services (CAMS) whether on-prem or in the Cloud with a focus on European sovereign providers, and with strong experience in designing, deploying and maintaining each of the stack’s components. She/he will also support necessary adaptations required by the different customers to implement the corresponding use cases while ensuring that the solutions and each of their components are delivered at the expected levels of security, reliability and availability at all times. To this aim, She/he will enforce the necessary quality of the service (i.e., operational excellence, documentation…) towards the MSP team in charge of the delivery of the services.

Key Responsibilities

Service Strategy & Governance

  • Support the definition of the overall strategy and future direction of the Cryptographic Services portfolio.
  • Develop strategic roadmap proposals aligned with the Customer’s IT strategy and goals.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement; prepare business cases for new initiatives and investments.
  • Ensure that services delivered by managed service contractors comply with the customer’s and third-party processes and guidelines.
  • Evaluate, apply, and implement security standards and governance frameworks.

Technical Expertise & Service Operations

  • Provide expert technical assistance on cryptographic solutions, including integration with application, platform, and infrastructure services across on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Offer technical guidance, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and monitoring of cryptographic systems.
  • Proactively maintain existing cryptographic systems; continuously tune environments for optimal availability and performance.
  • Oversee service reliability and continuously improve internal business and operational processes.
  • Ensure high-quality documentation, including technical specifications, project documents, and meeting minutes.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage diverse projects related to the day-to-day operations of the Data Centres & Private Cloud Unit.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, project definition, planning, and stakeholder communication.
  • Coordinate and participate in project and service meetings, ensuring structured follow-up and deliverables.
  • Supervise services delivered by the managed services portfolio.
  • Ensure effective communication with the customer’s stakeholders to guarantee proper integration with Privileged Access Management, security solutions, identity providers, networking, and hosting platforms.

Profile

  • University degree (Master’s level or 5 years of higher education),
    OR
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 extra years of relevant professional experience per missing year, up to 5 years total.
  • Excellent command of English, minimum CEFR Level C1 (spoken and written).
  • At least 10 years of experience in Datacenter Infrastructures, OS management, Networking, and IT Security perimeters.
  • More than 5 years delivering and supervising corporate cryptographic services in large-scale organizations.
  • Proven experience writing high-quality technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience applying Agile methodologies.
  • Thales certifications (or equivalent), such as:
    • Thales CipherTrust Manager Professional
    • Thales SafeNet Luna HSM 7
  • ITIL Foundation Certified
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Linux Certified Systems Engineer

  • Deep understanding of cryptographic technologies, HSMs, PKI, and key management systems.
  • Strong project management capabilities in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Ability to navigate technical, operational, and strategic discussions with both IT and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and performance-tuning skills.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination abilities.
  • Proactive mindset with high autonomy and ownership.

Use case to be answered by the candidate - mandatory

  1. What is the current status of the PQC adoption in the market, why and how it can affect in the short-term to the organisations providing internal corporate crypto services? 
  2.  Describe what are the last evolutions on the delivery of hybrid confidential computing by the Cloud providers market leaders. What is the role that an on-prem crypto corporate service can have to support the delivery of this type of services? In what use cases hybrid confidential computing is necessary and which security related concerns is able to address? 
  3.  Describe the risks mitigated by the crypto service in the roll-out of a complete stack (from the physical up to the application layer). 

Please indicate in each of your answers how your proposal incorporates lessons learnt from previous projects you have worked on.
