We are seeking an Asset & Liability Management (ALM) analyst to join the Balance Sheet Management team (ALM, Treasury, Long-Term Funding, Investment Portfolio & Derivatives desks). The ALM Analyst will play a central role in optimizing processes in our management of the risks associated with assets and liabilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement ALM strategies and initiatives. This position requires strong analytical and data management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Your next challenge:
- ALM analysis and reporting: ensure the production of key management indicators in relation with ALM risks as well as Fund Transfer Pricing rates. Conduct in-depth analysis of the organization's assets and liabilities to identify potential risks, opportunities, and trends.
- Process optimization and data management: optimize and stabilize operational processes, technologies, and tools to ensure that ALM missions and objectives are met.
- Strategic opportunities development: Participate in cross-functional and/or complex projects required by senior management and regulatory authorities as well as related to process improvement initiatives for the Balance Sheet Management Department. Collaborate in the redaction of the business requirements for IT implementation and associated testing.
Your skills:
- A master's degree with a focus on finance, economics, mathematics, or related field.
- Proven experience (5 years) in asset and liability management, treasury, risk management, or financial analysis within a financial institution or corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in data management tools (e.g. Python, SQL, Dataiku).
- Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Bloomberg and/or Moody's Analytics solutions is an advantage.
- Knowledge in financial modeling, quantitative analysis and/or statistical techniques is a plus.
- Fluency in English and French.
