In this role, your responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining the IFRS 17 accounting approach, coordinating quarterly and annual closing activities, planning and managing data requirements, and working with actuaries on assumptions and modelling changes. You will be responsible for internal and external audits of compliance and documentation.
Description
- You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our accounting approach in accordance with IFRS 17.
- You will coordinate the central quarterly and annual closing activities in accordance with IFRS 17
- You will plan data requirements, checking data completeness and consistency
- You will develop assumptions and modelling changes with our actuaries
- You will document assumption and modelling changes in IFRS 17 for approval and auditability
- You will support internal and external audits by ensuring compliance with standards and the availability of documentation.
Profile
- You have a Master's degree in accounting, finance or economics
- You have a minimum of 5 years' experience with a proven track record in an insurance company, bank or investment fund.
- An experience in (re)insurance and/or Luxembourg is an asset.
- You are fluent in English. Fluency in German and/or French is a major asset.
- You will have a sound knowledge of insurance accounting mechanisms and applicable standards (IFRS/LUXGAAP/SII).
- You are familiar with IFRS 17 practices
- You are familiar with SICS, OOliba, IDIT and Sun tools
