Our client, a prominent financial institution, is seeking a Senior Risk Officer to strengthen their team in Luxembourg. If you possess a robust background in risk management and are eager to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment, this role is for you ! As a Senior Risk Officer, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to ensure the organization's resilience and compliance with regulatory requirements. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a strong risk management framework, a vital aspect of the financial sector where stability and compliance are essential.

Senior Risk Officer : The Function

  • Monitoring and management of the tasks dedicated to the Risk Management Employee
  • Proposing improvement in the various risk management processes, by ensuring the compliance of the policies and procedures with the regulatory framework
  • Identification and evaluation of potential risks
  • Verification of the data accuracy on all risk management reports (internal and external reporting)
  • Close communication with operational departments to understand persistent issues and prioritize remediation.
  • Supporting Risk in developing a risk strategy and plan that support project delivery of which the risk register must be a part
  • Identification and correction of the potential control deficiencies
  • Support in the preparation of the Risk Management Committee
  • Monitoring and developing of Key Risk Indicators

Senior Risk Officer : Your Profile

  • You hold a Master's degree in Finance or Economics
  • You have between 3 to 6 years of experience in risk management, especially in operationnal risk in a bank or in a service provider
  • You possess strong IT skills, including proficiency in information systems and Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • You have excellent communication skills, both for raising awareness among teams and for producing clear and detailed reports.
  • You are fluent in English and have a solid command of French, which is crucial for effective team communication.
